Were you ever in the middle of building something and you had everything just right and you go to move a few prims and POOOOF – they are gone? You look around and they are no where. You look in your lost & found and in your object inventory….Nothing! So you start over with that section that went bye-bye.
Chances are they aren’t really gone. They went to Prim Limbo – or basically, they took a trip to 0,0,0 on your Sim. Next time this happens to you, don’t start crying right away! Head on down to the South West corner of your Sim and aim your camera under the terrain. There you just may find what you are missing – plus a few other things you didn’t know you were missing!
Just before writing this, I took a trip around to 5 or 6 Sims on the JokaydiaGrid and poked around each one’s 0,0,0 section. Almost all the Sims had a little story to tell. It’s like finding sunken treasure! Usually its a bunch of plywood textured boards, but now and then you will find some goodies. In the above pictures, you can see a boring torus, something that looks like a sunken ship, some streetlights, and a few small odds and ends. The gem of the evening was the mass of curls below! A pure 0,0,0 genuine work of art! Not arranged by dragging arrows…but pure random luck! Anyone else see two people totally wrapped in each others arms? (and legs) Lets call it Tangled Embrace at 0,0,0
It is a good idea to check out your 0,0,0 areas once a month, or more often if you build a lot, for a quick clean-up. It will save you a few prim spots if you are low on your limit, or there might be buried treasure! (Or a laggy scripted prim that got away!)
